Lexus is set to showcase its cutting-edge LF-ZC concept car at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025. This futuristic electric vehicle (EV) was first introduced at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, where Lexus revealed it as a preview for an EV scheduled for production in 2026.
The name LF-ZC stands for ‘Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst,’ highlighting the brand’s focus on sustainable mobility. According to Lexus, the LF-ZC will deliver double the driving range of its current electric vehicles, setting new benchmarks in EV technology.
Striking Design and Advanced Features
The LF-ZC boasts a sharp, angular design with an enclosed grille and distinctive headlamp clusters. Its aerodynamic profile features sleek air vents and bold lines, while the sloping roofline adds a sporty touch. Lexus claims the car has an impressive drag coefficient of 0.2, enhancing efficiency and performance.
On the technology front, the LF-ZC comes equipped with Steer-By-Wire and the Direct4 all-wheel-drive system, similar to the Lexus RZ. Inside, the cabin looks futuristic with two digital displays flanking the steering wheel and a large central digital console. The left screen handles functions like gear selection and driving modes, while the right screen manages music, climate, and phone controls. Additionally, passengers have access to an infotainment screen for entertainment and other functions.
AI-Powered Driving Experience
A standout feature of the LF-ZC is its AI-enabled voice assistant named ‘Butler.’ This system uses self-learning technology to personalize vehicle settings based on driving behavior and preferences, making each ride smooth and customized.
Powering the LF-ZC are next-generation prismatic high-performance batteries. These batteries are designed to be lighter, slimmer, and more energy-efficient, contributing to improved aerodynamics and extended range.
Lexus’ LF-ZC concept car promises to set new standards in electric vehicle technology and design, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable luxury mobility. All eyes will be on the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, where this innovative vehicle will take center stage.
